Xpeng p7

The Xpeng P7 is a full-size luxury electric sports sedan made by Xpeng (XPEV) — one of China's leading EV and AI technology companies. The latest generation launched in August 2025 and racked up over 10,000 firm orders in just 7 minutes. It's Xpeng's flagship statement: a BMW i5 / Mercedes EQE rival at a fraction of the price.

Think of it as an AI supercomputer that also happens to be a beautiful electric sedan.

The P7 Sedan — 2025 Lineup

  • 702 Long Range: ~$31,500, RWD, 362 hp, ~5.5s, ~436 mi

  • 750 AWD Max: ~$37,000, AWD, 586 hp, ~3.7s, ~466 mi

  • 820 Long Range Ultra: ~$43,000, RWD, 362 hp, ~5.5s, ~510 mi

Why It's a Big Deal

  • Size: At over 5 meters long with a 3-meter wheelbase, it's genuinely in BMW 5-Series territory — but starts at $26K.

  • AI Brains: The P7 packs 3 Xpeng-developed Turing AI chips with a combined 2,500 TOPS of computing power — rivaling dedicated supercomputers. Powers Level 3 autonomous driving without LiDAR, using a pure vision system similar to Tesla FSD.

  • Charging: 800V architecture with up to 486 kW peak charging — enough to add ~325 miles in just 10 minutes. Charges 10–80% in about 11 minutes.

  • HUD: An enormous 87-inch augmented reality heads-up display (powered by Huawei) that projects navigation and driving data across the full width of your windshield.

  • Cockpit: A 15.6-inch central touchscreen that pivots and rotates on 3 axes, air suspension standard across all trims, and a 20-speaker Dynaudio surround sound system in the P7+.

  • Trunk: The P7+ liftback offers 725 liters of cargo space — expanding to a massive 2,221 liters with seats folded. It fits up to 33 carry-on suitcases.

  • Aero: Drag coefficient of just 0.206 Cd on the P7+ — lower than a Tesla Model 3.
