Nobody Wants This is opening up its world in a big way for Season 3, with Netflix confirming a wave of new cast members who will shake up Joanne and Noah’s next chapter in all the right ways.

After the emotional Season 2 finale left Joanne choosing to convert to Judaism while Noah made it clear his love for her came first, the romantic comedy is moving forward with a new batch of recurring and guest stars ready to complicate, challenge, and energize the story. Season 3 will once again follow the evolving relationship between Joanne and Noah, but this time the road ahead looks even messier, funnier, and more crowded.

Among the biggest additions is Andrew Rannells, who joins the series as Sebastien, a sharp-edged figure described as Joanne’s nemesis in conversion class. That setup alone suggests Season 3 will lean further into Joanne’s religious journey, and possibly turn that classroom into one of the season’s most entertaining battlegrounds.

Sarah Silverman is also stepping into the mix as Rabbi Eden, the warm but eccentric teacher leading an Intro to Judaism class. Her character is expected to become a meaningful presence for both Joanne and Noah, adding a new voice to the show’s ongoing exploration of faith, identity, and modern romance. Keyla Monterroso Mejia rounds out that corner of the story as Amber, a fellow classmate whose mission to find a Jewish husband sounds tailor-made for the show’s offbeat sense of humor.

Elsewhere, Avan Jogia arrives as Travis, a confident and carefree guy who seems more than happy to get under Joanne’s skin, hinting at another possible source of friction in her already complicated life. Poorna Jagannathan will appear as Eleanor, the brassy and biting aunt of Rannells’ Sebastien, while Steven Weber joins as Julian, a grounded and self-assured divorced dad who could bring a fresh energy into the ensemble.

The supporting characters aren’t being left out either. Sadie Sandler will play Denise, a young psychic who gives Morgan a reading, which sounds like exactly the kind of curveball this show loves to throw. Stephanie Koenig will portray Poppy, an endlessly upbeat woman who goes on a date with Sasha, suggesting that his romantic life may be heading in a very different direction this season.

In one of the more personal additions, series creator Erin Foster will also appear on screen as Nicole, a chaotic and terminally single woman described as a kind of alternate-universe Joanne. It’s the sort of self-aware casting choice that fits the show’s voice perfectly and could easily become one of the season’s standout surprises.

With Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn all continuing the core ensemble, Season 3 is shaping up to broaden the series without losing the chemistry that made it such an easy binge in the first place. The show has always worked best when romance collides with family tension, spiritual confusion, and emotional chaos, and this new lineup looks built to deliver more of exactly that.

Nobody Wants This Season 3 is set to premiere later this year, and if this cast expansion is any indication, Joanne and Noah’s love story is about to get a lot more unpredictable.
