A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is officially heading back to screens this spring, with Netflix confirming that Season 2 will premiere on May 27. After the breakout success of the first season, the YA mystery adaptation is ready to pull viewers back into the unsettling world of Little Kilton, where another case is waiting for Pip Fitz-Amobi.

Emma Myers returns as the sharp and relentlessly curious Pip, while Zain Iqbal is back as Ravi Singh, her trusted partner as the pair move beyond the fallout of their first major investigation. With the events of Season 1 still looming over them, the new chapter is expected to dive into a fresh mystery that pushes both characters into even darker territory.

The upcoming season will run for six episodes and is based on Good Girl, Bad Blood, the second novel in Holly Jackson’s bestselling mystery series. This time, Jackson is stepping even closer to the adaptation, co-writing the new season alongside returning writer Poppy Cogan. That added involvement from the original author is likely to excite fans who have been eager to see the next installment stay true to the tone and twists that made the books such a hit.

Netflix has also revealed that filming on Season 2 has wrapped, with behind-the-scenes footage offering a glimpse at the cast and creative team celebrating the end of production. Emma Myers described the experience as especially meaningful, hinting that this season carries a bigger emotional weight. Holly Jackson also teased that the new installment is “bigger and badder,” setting the stage for a story that aims to raise the stakes well beyond the first case.

Season 2 will also expand the world of the series with several new cast members joining the mystery. Misia Butler, Eden H. Davies, and Jack Rowan are all set to appear in the next chapter, bringing new faces into Little Kilton and, inevitably, new secrets with them. As with any return to this particular town, no newcomer is likely to arrive without a few hidden layers.

The first season made a strong impression when it debuted, quickly finding an audience drawn to its mix of teen drama, sharp chemistry, and suspenseful plotting. That momentum has only increased anticipation for what comes next, especially with Pip and Ravi now fully established as one of the more compelling young detective duos in recent streaming TV.

If Season 1 was about proving Pip could uncover the truth, Season 2 looks ready to test what that truth costs. With a new mystery, fresh suspects, and a deeper emotional undercurrent, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder appears poised to return with a more intense and confident second outing.

For fans who have been waiting to get back to Little Kilton, the countdown is officially on. May 27 can’t come soon enough.
